Improving the victim-oriented approach – a tool enhancing the capacity to fight violence against women and domestic violence

The project is implemented with the support of Norwegian grants under the slogan “Working together for a green, competitive and inclusive Europe”. It follows on the successful implementation of the project of Creating a Coordinating-Methodical Centre for gender-based and domestic violence. Based on the principle of partnership between the responsible institutions, it focuses on promoting a coordinated response of helping professions and strengthening an approach that responds to the needs of women and their children experiencing violence.

The objective of the project is, together with partner organisations, to contribute to improve measures to prevent secondary and repeated victimization and to improve the availability and quality of support and protection for women and their children experiencing violence in contact with the helping professions.

Beneficiary of the project is the Institute for Labour and Family Research and partners of the project are Academy of the Police Force of Slovak Republic, the Norwegian Centre for Violence and Traumatic Stress Studies, the General Directorate of the Corps of Prison and Court Guard and the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic.
